Five held over titles for cash

IPOH: Five people, including a woman, have been arrested for allegedly soliciting and accepting bribes in exchange for award titles.

A Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) official said the suspects, aged between 30 and 40, were picked up here on Tuesday night and early yesterday morning.

He said they were believed to be part of a syndicate that asked for up to RM400,000 for each title of Datuk or Datuk Seri.
